Apart from this week, and in the lead up to Christmas, I avoid all processed food too, John, but I did buy 'stuff' for a Christmas get together. I was shocked by how much I spent and all of it tasted awful.
Recently though, I have been going to a better supermarket where things are a tad expensive, the difference being all fruit and vegetables are far better quality and nothing so far has gone off.
Yes everything is expensive, meat in particular, but I resort to eggs to increase my intake of protein. They're expensive eggs, but they taste as eggs should. If I am to believe the label, 20 chickens to one hectare, as opposed to 1500.
