Annelie, thank you. How could I possibly have forgotten to write about the powerful aroma of home cooking?
When my daughter was round six, she asked if she would be having whatever I was cooking. It was a hot curry.
I explained to her about chillies and how they would probably be too hot for her palate at this stage, but promised to make the same food the next night without chilli.
From thereon, she ate the same food as we did, and I gradually added the heat. Today she is the best cook.
