In the end of the day, storytelling isn’t copywriting. Good copy is short, snappy, to the point. It’s exactly the length it needs to be and no more. And sure, a good story also shares those qualities, but it also has other qualities. Intrigue; depth; fully-fleshed out characters — to name just a few.
