Akarsh - a wonderful article. It's been a long time since I ate any processed food, heavily-processed food, but I was always wary of it. Close to where we live, a bakery was set up and people would rave about it. The aroma that this place sent out made me want to gag. I never once bought from them.

As a teacher, my students would come in after recess having eaten flavoured all manner of things and I used to ask them to wash their mouths with water so that I could bear being close to them.

A young girl I taught never ever had a natural piece of food to eat at school, and she was very proud of the fact that she was trim, (read skinny). She went into hospital for simple surgery, and one month later, returned home. She's contracted sepsis. She was very close to death. This being the case, how many other children could we lose in similar circumstances?
