Ah yes, ageism I see ageism as a form of abuse, and the problem is, most of us accept it.
Why?
The trouble is, we just don't talk about it enough.
As we age, we slide into a lifestyle that society has prepared us so well for. We volunteer. We meet for morning tea. We tend the garden in whatever small way we can, and footer (Scottish word) around achieving little.
Or we don't!
Nobody says we can't thumb our collective noses at these norms, and the people who endorse them.
Age was once valued. We can choose to reinstate its value.
The TED talk? Perfect.
