Ah well Magnus, I'm a woman, so what I do is wash the floor, or vacuum, or prepare a meal, and totlaly take my mind off HAVING to write. BUT, I also have a list of titles a mile long that I refer to occasionally.

As I read about your visiting the alpine village I suddenly remembered being on a chairlift here in Australia. The chair stopped mid-air, and stayed there for a very long time. Here we don't have such a thing as the gloaming. It just suddenly gets dark, and where we were in the Blue Mountains, it was also getting horribly cold.

And then...movement and we slowly made our way to terra firma, and safety, and food, and a warm bed.

Should I write about this?

Did I suggest you carry a notebook, always, always always?
