Absolutely with you on this one, Charlie. I have friends who live in a 36m2 home, and thye can't leave it because they need the space for whenever the kids, all married, come to stay.

The house, once grand, needs gutting, and the 'kids' have no interest in doing it.

They will die, and all the accumulations of a lifetime will be tossed.

As an example, she has a room-size sheets and towels are that is chockers. I simply do not get that. I would be hellishly depressed. Some of the sheets (DOUBLES...who uses those?) have never been opened. They belonged to her mother.

She tells me the kids might need them. I tel lher they won't and it's true, they don't!
