What happened to you was grossly unfair, and that young boy needed to know that we don't always get what we want in life.

And if you had got that car, you would not have learned the wisdom you now have.

I noticed someone saying this would be a terrific children's book. That would work at preschool, to year one, I believe, where you are dealing with fairness and outcomes.
