46 years for us too, Joe. Our wedding was cheap and cheerful. I made all the food including our wedding cake. Then we had a party.

Our daughter has been to a few 'weddings' since. One was where they were all invited to a BBQ. The bride and groom met them as Prince Charming and Cinders. The outfits cost them $100 all up.

Given that few marriages last as long as yours and mine have, it's always wise to be cautious about the outlay. :)
